Concepts For Modularity & Connectivity
The rise of E-commerce has created new demands for modular and connected loading units for seamless and optimized logistics. For example, the “Pod” is a modular 4.5m (15’) swap body and intermodal container hybrid that can be combined to form a single 13.6m (45’) intermodal loading unit. This allows the flexibility of less-than truckload (LTL) shipping with the efficiency of full truckload (FTL) shipping. Furthermore, the Pods are linked to load-matching platforms, which allows for high utilization rates.
